The nurses were pleasant, although I was wary about some of the patients that were roaming the halls. My grandmother had a few falls from her bed, so I'm not sure I can comment on the safety or the attentiveness of the staff. Carpet bowling specifically comes to mind. The place smelled like you would expect a nursing facility to smell - whether this can be correlated with cleanliness, I can't speak.Sycamore is what it is. I wouldn't want to spend my time here, but I guess it is a nursing facility above all and not necessarily a vibrant community.
She’s eating the food there and they have a lot of options. I know that she’s getting rehab daily. She doesn’t realize she’s getting rehab because sometimes it’s just a walk down the hallway, or they observe how she feeds herself kind of a thing.

There is always staff on hand to answer a phone call day or night. Most of the staff can answer of most medically concerned questions about your loved one and are very supportive of the concerned family members as well. There are may positives to Highland Park care. There are also some negatives about Highland Park Care Center. As in most places that care for the elderly, not all of the people are as honest as they may appear. There were problems with missing money and clothing mix-ups after their clothes are laundered.

Food and dining is an important consideration when selecting a nursing homes facility. Three meals a day are offered to residents, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Nursing Homes can be an expensive senior care option, so cost is typically going to be a consideration when looking at alternatives.

They have a very similar activity program setup there, and they also have rehab in the building. They were good and pretty knowledgeable. It doesn't matter what kind of meals my mother gets because she is going to complain about the food no matter where she is.

Although I would love for my dad to be able to come home, if that is not possible, I know he will get great care here. As a former resident with CHF, I was sent there by Mercy Hosp. The rehab services were things I could have done on my own and the food service was unprofessional. I received chopped cups, greasy flatware to the point I had refused to eat.
To help make the transition from the hospital to rehabilitation easier, we are encouraging anyone having an elective surgery to call or make a reservation. Caring Heights is focused on creating a home-like atmosphere beyond the barriers of a traditional long-term care community. With long-term care services, social engagement and friendship is just as important as health and wellness. My Dad fell several times, I ask one staff member what will they do to prevent this from happening again. Instead of saying they will keep a closer watch on him, she said they will lower the bed and give him the nurse bell.
So unprofessional and disrespectful. Have your breath taken away as you travel up the Duquesne Incline. Children will get a kick out of the authentic car, the old photographs and artifacts in the upper station, and the ride up and down the mountain. Our Mother is in long term care with a heel fracture and has an Advance stage of Dementia.
Close proximity to hospitals and places of worship can be helpful in evaluating a provider. Caring Heights Community Care & Rehab Ctr is a nursing homes facility located in Coraopolis, PA. We are paid by our participating communities, therefore our service is offered at no charge to families.
It doesn’t smell like a nursing home. You can either smell the food or something fresh. The food is very good, and the staff is wonderful, but some of the younger ones tend to take off without notice, so a lot of the really good ones get stuck with too much work.
The personnel were very friendly and very helpful. My family was always able to get a latte or do something like that. Of course, COVID was around, so it was sometimes difficult to move around in the facility. I had some friends in another part that I couldn’t go see because of COVID, but that was not the facility’s fault. I was not crazy about the food; it was not that good. The staff was very personable and very prompt to take care of my needs.
